Nepal women's team will play against Sri Lanka women's team in 1st semifinal match of SAFF Women's Championship 2019 on March 20. The match will be played at Sahid Maidan at 11 AM. Women's team is in top form with two winning streak against Bhutan & Bangladesh. The biggest achievement for Nepal in the history of SAFF championship was they became 1st runner up twice.And this time top form of striker Sabitra Bhandari could end the title drought.
Nepali coach Hari Khadka said, "Sabitra is the best striker in South Asia region. She did
well, one goal and another assist in 3-0 win. I am happy she is in the
team". Bhandari has scored 24 international goals in 25 games.
Anu Lama is the highest goal scorer for Nepal with 35 goals. She
couldn't make her place in final cut.
In the second semifinal match, India will play against Bangladesh at 3 PM.The final match will be played on March 22.
